Lets see, ep one aired on, January 8, 1996, the length between these two episodes is almost 17 years (comming to the 18th anniversary). First ep aired almost 25 years ago, this ep we were watching aired almost 8 years ago. Time flies man, its frightening...

yup, and i watched my first anime ever in the Summer of 1990... so even after passing up on Conan until this year, it is still a good show.

i wish the Funimation/Crunchyroll/Aniplex/Sony conglomerate would pick up at least the subtitling officially for Japanese episodes 123(where Funimation stopped their English dub) until 753 (the episode before Crunchyroll bought the streaming and subtitle rights). they did that one before Sony bought Crunchy and merged it with Funi.

Detective Conan Translation Project got scared off by DMCA threats etc. and didn't work on any more episodes after #657 or movies after #16. so we've don't have as good of subs as we used to. Moonlighters and one other group i can't recall their name, has done some fine work after 657.

but if Funi-Roll picked up the remaining rights etc. we 'pirates' could get some high-quality files and subs too.

That's how I was introduced to this! In America, it was called Case Closed. I remember thinking it was a great show, but only caught a few episodes. More than 10 years later, I remembered the show and now I'm hooked lol.

mhm it was the one I THINK! where Conan is peeking in Takagi's hospital room when Satou-chan gives him a long hot smooching while he's laying in bed. if i am remembering it right, that's the first on-screen FULL confirmation that TakaTou are officially an 'intimate' couple.

I see~ they really need more screen time together ;p (sato & takagi).

unfortunately at a 'certain point' the entire 'love story' arc for everybody who's a cop ends and is barely ever seen again. except Akai brother who's the shogi champ and his traffic cop GF. for some reason their relationship keeps popping up, probably due to him being a member of that family.

15 one parters? i think i'm counting that wrong. there can't be that many one-off episodes in such a short Conan season. some of those have to be 'continued in the next episode' story arcs but the titles aren't coinciding in any way i can figure out. :/ plus, some of the one parters of this season appear 'Black Organization' -ish in the titles! :o

6 two parters. they are either labeled as part 1n2 or are titled the same/similar or with a separate sub-titling.

1 three parter yet again this season. plus, it is the season opener which aired after Jan. 1 so i hope there's another funny 'New Years Greeting' skit!

Came here after Episode 304 in preparation for the new movie ^^ Detective Conan has so many different storylines that I tend to forget some after all of these years, so I wanted to rewatch these episodes again. I really like the WPS gang :’)
